Door opener with variable gearing.
The invention relates to a motorized assembly with variable gearing for opening and closing of doors (hereinafter referred to as door opener, cf. designation). The door opener can be used to operate many different types of doors with different characteristics. For example, to close a top-hinged tailgate in a car, large closing force must be used in the first part of the movement, and large closing speed in the latter part of the movement. The opposite may be required for closing a side-hung car door; great closing speed in the first part and great closing power in the last part of the closing movement. For both types of doors, a better open / close function is achieved when the ratio of force to speed is varied during the movement. The variable gearing continuously changes the gear ratio while the door opener moves the door from one position to another.
The known products for operating doors have fixed gearing / exchange ratios. As a result, these systems do not meet the power or speed requirements of each door at all stages of opening or closing. Eg. For example, a system may be strong enough for the first phase of a closure, but not fast enough to slam the door in the final phase. Or a system may be fast and powerful enough to end a closure, but far too fast and powerful for the first phase. For some of the existing systems, this paradox has necessitated costly complicated measures in the products.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS FIG. First
The large (secondary) sprocket 1 is driven by the small (primary) sprocket 2, which is driven by a motor 3. The motor is mounted on a motor bracket 4, which is secured with a hinge 5 to the bottom frame 6. The bottom frame 6 is fixed to a fixed detail in the chassis of the vehicle near the door. The center distance of the two gears 1 and 2 is held constant by two link arms 7 (one on each side of the gears). The link arms are fixed with a swivel joint to the large sprocket 1 at the point which is the geometric center point 8 of the sprocket 1, whereby the two sprockets 1 and 2 are always engaged with their proper center distance. The secondary sprocket I is mounted eccentrically on the main shaft 9, thereby changing the distance from the main shaft 9 to the point where the two sprockets 1 and 2 engage as the main shaft 9 is turned, thereby changing the transmission. On the main shaft 9 is mounted an arm 10 which at its other end II pulls or pushes in a rod attached to the door to be operated.

A motor driven door opener and door closure comprising a motor (3) driving the closure via an arm (10) for attachment to said door via the other end (11) of the arm for pulling or pushing said door and wherein the arm (10) and the motor (3) has an exchange via a primary sprocket (2) and a secondary sprocket (1), characterized in that the door opener comprises means (7) for maintaining a constant center distance between the primary and secondary sprocket and the first end of the arm via a shaft. (9) is attached eccentrically to the secondary sprocket (1).

A motor driven door opener and door closure according to claim 1, wherein said means (7) for maintaining a constant center distance between the primary (2) and secondary (1) gears are two link arms (7) mounted on each side of the gears. (1,2) wherein the link arms (7) are secured to the secondary gear (1) via a swivel joint and the link arms (7) are secured to the geometric center point (8) of the secondary gear (1).

A vehicle with at least one door, comprising a motor-operated door opener and door closure according to claims 1-2, wherein the other end (11) of the arm is fixed to the vehicle door and the motor-driven door opener and door closure is attached to the vehicle chassis.
